USC, ranked sixth in the AP Poll, plays Stanford in a Pac-12 Conference opener Saturday.

The Trojans improved to 2-0 after a 59-9 victory over Idaho last week. They opened the season with a 55-6 victory over Arkansas State.

The Cardinal is 1-1 after a loss at Northwestern in the season opener and then a bounce-back victory over Central Florida.

Stanford defeated USC for four consecutive seasons before the Trojans won the last two contests, each by a field goal.

Both teams feature a fifth-year senior quarterback. Cody Kessler is a third-year starter for USC, and Kevin Hogan is a fourth-year starter for Stanford.

Kessler ranks second in the country in passing efficiency. He has thrown seven touchdowns with no interceptions.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. PDT on ABC.
