Recruiting update: Trojans assistants visit Osa Masina

A day after making an in-home visit with linebacker Porter Gustin, USC assistants continued recruiting in Utah and stopped at Salt Lake City Brighton High to visit linebacker Osa Masina.

Masina was photographed by his mother with defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox, linebackers coach Peter Sirmon, tight ends coach Marques Tuiasosopo and Brighton Principal Charisse Hilton.

Masina is scheduled to announce his commitment on Friday. He will choose between USC, UCLA and Arizona State.

USC has 15 verbal commitments and can sign 19 players on Feb. 4.

Linebacker Cameron Smith is attending classes and will participate in spring practice. Gustin and Gardena Serra’s John Houston are other linebackers targeted by the Trojans.
