Singleton House sale sets 2015 state high at $65 million

The Singleton House, set on seven acres in the Holmby Hills area, has sold for $65 million, earning it the top spot among high-priced home sales so far this year in California. One of the last major works of architect Wallace Neff, the mansion was built for Henry Singleton, who co-founded Teledyne. Singleton died in 1999 at 82. Today the industrial conglomerate is known as Teledyne Technologies. The Southern Colonial-style estate features a main residence, a tennis court and a swimming pool. The 15,520 square feet of living space contains a grand entry with an oval hallway, living, dining and family rooms, a bar, a den, an office, a study/library, a gym, 10 bedrooms and 12.5 bathrooms....
