Southside lines up to throw money at Tommy Norment

Senate Majority Leader Thomas K. "Tommy" Norment has a fundraiser in Virginia Beach later this month, put on by a partial who's who of South Hampton Roads business and political leaders. The lowest suggested donation is $500. For $5,000 you can be a "chairman of the board" for the Sept. 24 event at the Oceanaire Resort Hotel. The co-hosts are a bipartisan collection, including Helen Dragas, an area builder and a member of the University of Virginia Board of Visitors with Democratic connections.
