The Angels have agreed to terms with veteran reliever Al Alburquerque on a major league contract pending a physical, according to a person familiar with the deal but not authorized to speak publicly about it because it is not official.

The Angels agreed to terms with veteran reliever Al Alburquerque on a one-year, $1.1-million contract, pending a physical, on Friday, but have yet to reach 2016 contract agreements for two arbitration-eligible players, pitcher Garrett Richards and right fielder Kole Calhoun.
Faced again with the choice they made four weeks ago for their opening-day roster, the Angels made the same decision, calling up right-hander Cam Bedrosian from triple-A Salt Lake on Friday over fellow right-hander Al Alburquerque.
