AT THE PLATE: With the Dodgers holding a split-squad day, only one starter, Yasmani Grandal, made the trip to the Brewers complex in Maryvale. Their lone outburst of offense occurred when infielder Charlie Culberson hit a home run off Milwaukee starter Jimmy Nelson.

In the Padres game, the Dodgers could not amount any offense until the sixth inning. Outfielder Corey Brown plated Enrique Hernandez and Justin Turner with a single.
