Adam Dunn is traded to the A's

One more shot at the playoffs for Adam Dunn before he says he's probably done. The slugger with 460 home runs but zero at-bats in the postseason was traded Sunday by the Chicago White Sox to the Oakland Athletics. The White Sox also sent cash to Oakland and acquired minor league pitcher Nolan Sanburn. Because the deal was made before Sept. 1, Dunn will be eligible for the postseason if the Athletics reach the playoffs. Dunn, 34, has played more games — 1,976 — without reaching the postseason than any active major league player.
