The Chicago Blackhawks held off elimination tonight in the Western Conference finals with a 5-2 victory over the Ducks at the United Center, sending the two teams west for a winner-moves-on game. The Blackhawks survived an intense and, at times, chaotic final 10 minutes. Andrew Desjardins and Andrew Shaw out-worked the Ducks to earn a two-goal lead 16 minutes 28 seconds into the third period. Desjardins raced into the Ducks' zone for the puck and flicked it cross ice where Shaw -- with the Ducks’ Ryan Getzlaf on his back -- poked it past goaltender Frederik Andersen.
