Kings' Jonathan Quick has wrist surgery, could be out 10-12 weeks

Kings goalie Jonathan Quick, who injured his wrist during the run to the Stanley Cup, underwent wrist ligament surgery Tuesday. The procedure is expected to keep him off the ice for 10 to 12 weeks, just before the opening of training camp, according to Kings' staff. Training camp is set to start Sept. 18. Management confirmed the surgery, via email, and added that Quick originally suffered the injury during the Kings' second-round playoff series against the Ducks. They said he played without a problem the rest of the playoffs, but doctors advised to have the surgery, saying it was better to have it taken care of during the off-season.
