A floating restaurant that raises the bar on dining options at Lake Powell, the summer venue popular with the houseboating crowd, is set to open this month.

Latitude 37 will be docked on the lake and accessible by foot or boat at the Wahweap Marina near Page, Ariz. It is scheduled to open July 25 and will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, with menus more inspired than the usual camper or boater fare.

Smoked brisket nachos, barbecued pulled-pork egg rolls and classic burgers will be served up along with milkshake flavors such as peanut butter and banana. At the bar, bloody marys and Bellinis will be mixed, and a range of hot-and-cold coffee drinks from lattés to Americanos are on the menu too.

“Guests at Lake Powell will enjoy an enhanced experience with a new, fun food selection in one of the most beautiful settings in the Southwest,” Eric Johnson, vice president of operations for Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas, said Thursday in a statement.

The restaurant seats 50 inside and 46 on the balcony where diners can enjoy views of Castle Rock, Navajo Mountain and Wahweap Bay. To get to the restaurant, guests can drive to the marina or pull their boat into a nearby slip.

It’s managed by Aramark Parks and Destinations, which runs concessions in many national parks, national forests and other destinations.

Lake Powell is on the Arizona-Utah border and is part of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.
