TUCSON -- The Angels play the Rockies today. The Angels don’t figure to be making the two-hour trip to Tucson much longer. With the White Sox moving from here to join the Dodgers in Glendale, the Rockies and Diamondbacks are the only teams remaining in Tucson. They don’t want to endure a spring with the daily choice of playing each other or sitting on a bus for two hours to play one of the dozen teams in the Phoenix area, so the Rockies and Diamondbacks have explored options to move to the Phoenix area. But baseball will be played here this spring and next spring, and the Rockies’ quaint home offers a look at the way spring training used to be, before luxury boxes and two-team complexes.

--The Angels have no game scheduled Tuesday, but they will work out and play an intra-squad game. Joe Saunders is scheduled to make his spring debut on Wednesday, against the South Africa entry in the World Baseball Classic.
