Things were pretty dead over here in the Corona Centennial grandstands just after halftime, but now, thanks to a couple Huskies’ TDs, it’s like Mardi Gras just broke out [Mardi Gras with a lot more clothes, that is]. The red and white pom-pom things and the red and white towels are being whipped about by the Centennial faithful with renewed vigor and everyone is back on their feet.

And I’m glad because this game was, dare I say it, starting to dabble in the realm of boredom. But thanks to a Centennial safety, a couple amazing catches and a couple head-scratching De La Salle turnovers, Centennial trails, 31-24, and is threatening to score again early in the fourth quarter.

I hope this game stays close the rest of the way -- I’ve been up since 6 a.m. and I need something fun and exciting to keep me awake.
