Football: Hytche gives Monarchs 14-7 lead

Jaron Hytche ran 53 yards for a touchdown to give Mater Dei a 14-7 lead over Orange Lutheran with 8:45 left in the third quarter. Hytche has 102 yards and a touchdown in 12 carries.

Monarchs quarterback Matt Barkley completed a 28-yard pass to Christian Maldonado on the drive that was tipped before Maldonado made the catch. Barkley has completed five of nine passes for 92 yards.
