Miscellany One Way To Get Your Picture In The Paper: Sen. Herschel Rosenthal (D-Los Angeles) kissed his frog, Hershy, after it won the legislative frog jumping contests with a leap of seven feet, seven inches. So he did it. “It (the frog) didn’t turn into a beautiful woman or anything, but I didn’t get warts either,” Rosenthal quipped. The lawmakers’ frog jump pub licized the Calaveras County frog jumping contest made famous by a Mark Twain story. The event will be held May 16 to 19 this year.
