Chapman Signs Mater Dei’s Gardea
Mater Dei High School third baseman Tony Gardea has signed a national letter of intent to attend Chapman College in the fall, Chapman Coach Mike Weathers announced.
Gardea batted .412 during the regular season and scored 28 runs. He follows Monarch pitcher Jon Hulshof, who previously signed with the Panthers.
Weathers also signed infielder Ron Hubel of Basic High in Henderson, Nev., and junior college transfers Rob Wolkoys (Mt. San Antonio) and Brian Flatten (Cypress).
