NANCY REAGAN WILL BE HONORED

First Lady Nancy Reagan will be the subject of a tribute Sept. 26, hosted by the Entertainment Industry Council in recognition of her work to combat drug and alcohol abuse.

The tribute, at the Sheraton Premiere Hotel, Studio City, will inaugurate an annual Nancy Reagan Award recognizing those persons helping Mrs. Reagan's cause of drug and alcohol awareness.

Producer Ralph Andrews, chairman of the EIC, said: "Mrs. Reagan's willingness to take the lead in this issue has been the incentive for the entertainment industry to use its power and influence to deglamorize drug and alcohol use in feature films and in the broadcast media."
