San Gabriel
Community Hospital of San Gabriel, founded 25 years ago at 218 S. Santa Anita St., has changed its name to San Gabriel Valley Medical Center. There has been no change in ownership or management of the nonprofit hospital, Executive Director William True said. The new name better reflects the wide spectrum of services the hospital provides, True said. The hospital is undergoing a $30-million construction and rebuilding program which includes a five-story patient tower, and recently opened a 24-hour emergency center.
