MEXICO CITY —
Five Americans were killed in Mexico’s earthquakes and nine others are missing, U.S. Embassy spokesman Lee Johnson said Sunday.
Johnson identified the dead as Georgiana Merry Yunes, 31, of San Antonio, and her son, Juan Carlos, 10 months; and Mary Elizabeth Vallejo, 34, originally of Cozad, Neb., and her two children, Lise Anne, 8, and Alonso, 5.
The women, both married to Mexican nationals, died when their homes collapsed, Johnson said.
He declined to provide details on the missing Americans.
