After losing their first two exhibition games of the season to the Vancouver Canucks last weekend, the Kings looked as if they were about to win their first practice game Tuesday night against the Canadian Olympic team.

The Kings led, 3-2, after the second period on two goals by Lyle Phair, a free agent left wing from Michigan State, and another by center Brian Wilks.

But Team Canada scored three goals in the final period against rookie goalie John Franzosa to hand the Kings a 5-3 defeat before 1,989 fans at the Victoria Arena.
