AND WAIT, THERE’S MORE: U2 will be here June 6 at the Forum headlining an Amnesty International benefit, but the group’s fans are banding together even sooner--tonight, as a matter of fact--from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Lhasa Club. The occasion is a “U2 Celebration,” featuring music and videos by U2 as well as such groups as the Alarm, the Waterboys, Clannad and Cactus World News. The organizers say the “Boss Club”-style gathering will be a regular feature at the Lhasa Club on the first Sunday of each month. Admission is $3.50, with all proceeds going to Amnesty International. . . . One of the East Coast’s most highly touted young bands, the Dancing Hoods, will be in town at Raji’s on May 16, with an in-studio concert appearance also scheduled for May 14, at 10 p.m. on Deirdre O’Donoghue’s “SNAP” show on KCRW-FM. The band’s current album, “12 Jealous Roses,” is available through Important Records.
