The Los Angeles-based motion picture company expects to receive between $50 million and $100 million during the three-year deal, a New World spokesman said. For Home Box Office, a Time Inc. subsidiary, the New World agreement marks the second time in two months that it has acquired pay-TV rights from a studio on exclusive terms. HBO executives said recently that they would seek exclusivity only if their biggest competitor continued to do so.
