60-Day Closure of Park in Cougar Attacks Urged
The Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park in southern Orange County, where two children have been mauled by mountain lions in the last seven months, should remain closed for 60 days pending new safety measures, county and state officials recommended. County supervisors will consider the proposal at their meeting next Wednesday, said Hal R. Krizan, the county’s director of parks and recreation.
