HBO and De Laurentiis announced an agreement.

The pact will enable Home Box Office to obtain non-exclusive domestic pay-television rights from De Laurentiis Entertainment Group for up to 45 films scheduled for theatrical release beginning in May, 1987, through 1990 and also will give HBO home-video rights for the same movies. Among the titles to be included in the pact are “Illegally Yours,” “China Marines” and “Blue Velvet.” Titles will begin airing on HBO in 1988. De Laurentiis productions that have already appeared on HBO include “Serpico,” “Three Days of the Condor,” “Conan The Barbarian” and “King Kong.”
