Shanahan Named GM of San Bernardino Gulls
Bill Shanahan has been named the general manager of the new San Bernardino franchise of the Class-A California League, team spokesman Roy Englebrecht said Thursday.
Shanahan, 32, formerly served as the vice president and general manager of the Wichita Aeros of the Triple-A American Assn., Englebrecht said.
The San Bernardino team played as the Ventura Gulls last season.
The franchise was purchased by a group headed by actor and former UCLA and Pierce College quarterback Mark Harmon earlier this week. At the time of the purchase, it was announced that the team would play in San Bernardino next season.
