Huntington Beach : Bandit Displays Note, Takes Cash From Bank
A man who walked into a bank Friday afternoon and used a note to demand money escaped with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.
Police Sgt. Gary Meza said the holdup man entered the California Federal Bank in the 7200 block of Edinger Avenue about 2:30 p.m. and handed the note to a teller.
He said the intruder did not show a weapon but indicated in the note that he had one.
Meza said the robber fled on foot. He was described as 28 to 30 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 140 pounds with dark hair.
