Football-Related Deaths Are a Cause for Concern
In the last few weeks, two local high school football players were killed on the playing field. Each year there are football-related deaths throughout the country’s high schools.
Since football is embedded so deeply in many Americans’ consciences, the sport will undoubtedly never be banned. But, isn’t it possible to administer extensive physical tests to high school players to determine if their still-maturing bodies are sturdy enough to withstand football’s violent contact?
