Jon Okken threw for 334 yards and two touchdowns but his 10-yard run for a touchdown with 4:23 remaining in the game gave Christian the win at Castle Park.

Okken’s clinching run came after Castle Park (4-7-0) had taken a 17-14 lead on Carlos Valdivia’s 20-yard field goal with 9:49 left in the game. Christian (6-5-0) took the ensuing kickoff and drove 11 plays for the final touchdown, as Okken completed 7 passes for 54 yards.

Christian took a 7-0 lead on a five-yard pass for a touchdown from Okken to Brian Weeks and was threatening to make it 10-0 but Oli Jauregui blocked Steven Sanderson’s field goal attempt.

Castle Park made it 7-6 on a one-yard run for a touchdown by Donald Miner. Christian retook the lead 14-6 on a 12-yard pass for a touchdown from Okken to Ron Newquist.

However, Castle Park tied the score on a 28-yard run for a touchdown by Hector Garcia. Frank Salgado passed to Garcia for the two-point conversiton.
