Irvine : Construction Will Close Portions of Interstate 5

Portions of the Santa Ana Freeway (Interstate 5) will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the Yale Avenue bridge from Jeffrey Road to Culver Drive beginning Dec. 8 due to construction work on a new bridge at Yale Avenue. The closures will continue through Dec. 12.

Drivers southbound on the freeway will be detoured at Culver Drive, then sent north to Trabuco Road, east to Jeffrey Road and then south to the I-5 on-ramp. The northbound detour will be at Jeffrey Road, where travelers will be sent north to Trabuco Road and west on Culver Drive to the I-5 on-ramp.
