Enough is enough, said San Francisco Mayor Dianne Feinstein, denouncing published “innuendoes” suggesting her city is not what it once was. She wrote an article for the San Francisco Chronicle calling for an end to what she called “San Francisco bashing.” “For those of us who live in San Francisco, and firmly believe it to be the world’s most civilized city,” she said, “recent articles appearing in national publications like the New York Times and the U.S. News and World Report raise eyebrows and hackles.”
