Moorpark College pitchers have given Coach Ron Stillwell little reason to smile so far this season: Raiders pitchers have given up 42 hits in 43 innings. “Our pitching isn’t as good as I had hoped,” Stillwell said. “But I am pleased with Joe Solomon.”

Solomon, a freshman relief pitcher from Camarillo High, has not allowed a run in eight innings.
