Westminster’s Marchena Fights Tonight

Greg Puente of El Monte, the California super featherweight champion, fights Ramon Marchena of Westminster in featured match at the Irvine Marriott Hotel tonight. The first of six scheduled matches starts at 7:30.

In the heavyweight event, actor Sylvester Stallone will be ringside to watch his fighter, Lee Canalito of Texas, take on Dwain Bonds of Detroit.

Also on the card, in a six-round bout middleweight Tony Chicoine of Orange fights Hector Jaiman of San Diego; Rod Starks of Westminster fights Gil Baptist of San Diego at 154 pounds (five rounds), Gabriel Sepulveda of Los Angeles fights Oscar Ornelas of Los Angeles at 134 ‘four rounds), and Francisco Jimenez of El Monte fights Gary Quadres of San Diego at 128 pounds (four rounds).
