The burgeoning Westwood One-Mutual Broadcasting Network has entered into an unprecedented agreement with the Voice of America to broadcast a series of rock programs over the recently inaugurated VOA-Europe network, starting May 4. The agreement, announced Wednesday, marks the first time VOA has carried commercially sponsored programming on its international outlets. VOA broadcasts to a target audience of more than 15 million English-speaking young adults. Among scheduled programs: “Off the Record With Mary Turner,” “Rock Chronicles,” “Rock and Roll Never Forgets” and “American Dance Traxx.”
