A lone armed man held up a Placentia savings and loan institution Thursday, making off with about $2,200, police said.
The man had a handgun and demanded the money from a teller at Century Federal Savings & Loan, 1300 N. Kraemer Blvd., a few minutes before noon, Police Lt. Chuck Babcock said.
