Morocco’s Said Aouita breezed to victory over Britain’s Steve Ovett in the 5,000-meter run at an international track and field meet in La Coruna, Spain.
Aouita, world record-holder in the 1,500-meter and 5,000-meter runs, won in 13 minutes 21.5 seconds on a rain-slicked track at Riazor Stadium. Ovett was timed in 13:22.8.
