Weaver Beats Pritchard on Sixth-Round TKO

LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Former World Boxing Assn. heavyweight champion Mike Weaver battered James Pritchard repeatedly with left hooks to the body Monday night to earn a sixth-round technical knockout.
The fight was stopped 2:30 into the sixth round.
Pritchard was successful in the second and third rounds, landing blows to the body and swelling Weaver’s right eye. Weaver rebounded in the fourth, repeatedly landing left hooks to Pritchard’s body.
