Judiciary Committee Hearings on Judge Robert Bork
It is instructive to learn from the defenders of the nomination of Bork that unless you are a middle-class, heterosexual white male, you are considered a “special interest.”
That pervasive attitude has required the formation of organizations such as the National Assn. for the Advancement of Colored People, the National Organization for Women, the American Civil Liberties Union and the People for the American Way, to protect the rights of those excluded by the domination of white-male privilege.
