Musical chairs in England’s show business community: Michael Grade--who joined the British Broadcasting Corp. four years ago and was set to become managing director of its TV division next year--has decided instead to become chief executive officer of Britain’s innovative commercial Channel 4 network. He will succeed founding chief, Jeremy Isaacs, who becomes chief executive of the Royal Opera in London next spring. Grade’s decision to leave reportedly arose from tensions with other BBC executives.
