With movie cameras cluttering the stage, helicopters taking aerial shots and banners in the crowd identifying fans from all over the country, U2 closed its North American tour Sunday night with the second of two special low-priced concerts at Arizona State University’s Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe. As a holiday treat, the Irish band played live for the first time its version of “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),” U2’s contribution to the all-star Special Olympics benefit album “A Very Special Christmas.”
