Michael Deaver

I guess it is time that something has to be done with our laws and court system.

A person lies to the Grand Jury and faces 15 years behind bars for perjury (Michael K. Deaver). We know what he did was wrong.

Then a 14-year 4-month sentence is given to a creep for breaking and entering and in the process slashing Ruth Galanter’s throat (Metro, Dec. 17).

It seems to me the law is saying, kill or maim and get a short sentence, but if you lie to the Grand Jury or steal money look out because the law will deal harshly with you.
