Long Beach, Irvine Battle for 4th Place
Fourth place will be at stake when Cal State Long Beach plays UC Irvine in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. basketball game today at 3 p.m. at the Long Beach Arena.
Long Beach, coming off an 81-73 loss to UC Santa Barbara Thursday night, is 15-9 overall and 9-6 in the PCAA.
Irvine, which lost the same night to New Mexico State, 75-59, is a half-game behind the fourth-place 49ers with a 14-11, 9-7 record.
The Anteaters will be trying to avenge a 100-80 loss to the 49ers Jan. 28.
