Sales of Del Taco and Naugles--two of the best-known names for Mexican fast-food in California--to a company controlled by Newport Beach restaurateur Anwar Soliman have been completed. The combined purchase clearly creates the second-largest Mexican fast-food chain with 373 restaurants, mostly in California. It is overshadowed only by Taco Bell, the Irvine subsidiary of Pepsico that has 2,700 restaurants. The previously announced sales to newly formed DTI Acquisition were for undisclosed prices.
