Local News in Brief : Huntington Beach : Robber Escapes With $800 From Bank Branch
A bank robber got away with $800 Tuesday from a Security Pacific Bank branch at Beach Boulevard and Garfield Avenue, authorities said.
Police said the robber, described as a blond man in his late 20s, approached a teller and displayed a revolver stuck in the waistband of his jeans.
After demanding and receiving the money, he fled on foot and was not apprehended, police said.
The suspect was described as about 6 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds, with a beard and a mustache.
