Villa Park may be one of Orange County’s smallest cities, but it ranks second to none in affluence. This 2.1-square mile community has homes that are valued above the county median and residents there can afford to diligently protect its private and semi-rural nature.

Horse trails meander throughout Villa Park, but the city is considering cutting them back so that they encompass just the northern part of town. The city plans to keep the trails in the hills, officials say.

The city is zoned exclusively for single-family homes with lots of approximately one-half acre. There are few sidewalks, no condominiums, no churches, no parks--and residents like it that way.
