Calabasas’ Drezner to Attend Brown

Calabasas High senior Jon Drezner, a first-team Times’ All-Valley player, announced Wednesday he will play basketball next season at Brown University in Rhode Island.

Drezner averaged 24.3 points and 10 rebounds a game last season, fifth best in the Valley in both categories. The 6-foot, 5-inch senior set school records for most points (45) and most rebounds (34) in a game and for career rebounds (696). He was All-Southern Section and co-MVP of the Frontier League.

Drezner, who will graduate with a 4.0 grade-point average, also was recruited by UC San Diego, Claremont-McKenna, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and UC Davis.
