High School Baseball Playoffs

Marshall 11, Washington 2--Eric Duncan pitched a five-hitter and got plenty of offensive help as Marshall won the City 3-A quarterfinal game at Washington.

Duncan (2-2), who had a shutout until the seventh inning, struck out six, walked two and hit two batters.

Marshall (19-9-1) banged out 14 hits and ended the suspense early with four runs in the first inning and four more in the third.
