A Woodland Hills man died Saturday after his car, traveling at 105 m.p.h., crashed through a guardrail on the San Diego Freeway in West Los Angeles, authorities said.
Michael McGee, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene at 6 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
McGee, who was not wearing a seat belt, lost control of his car, which smashed into the guardrail and went down a 50-foot embankment near the intersection of the Santa Monica Freeway, the CHP said. There were no other people or vehicles involved.
