Share

For motorists planning to drive eastbound on the Santa Monica Freeway near downtown Los Angeles this weekend or motoring northbound on the Santa Ana/Hollywood Freeway (Route 101) near the Civic Center from Monday to Thursday, the California Department of Transportation has news:

Beginning at midnight Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday, all eastbound lanes of the Santa Monica Freeway at the connector to the northbound Harbor Freeway--as well as the connector from the northbound Harbor to the eastbound Santa Monica--will be closed for roadwork. Traffic will be detoured.

Beginning at midnight Monday to Thursday, the Santa Ana/Hollywood Freeway will be closed at the tunnel to the Vignes Street off-ramp for work on the roadway and the Los Angeles River bridge between Vignes and Mission Road. The freeway section--known as the “Spur”--will be reopened to motorists at 5 a.m. each morning.
