The Who Expected to Tie Up Traffic
Caltrans planners anticipate heavy traffic congestion around the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum tonight because of the rock concert by The Who.
To make things easier, traffic planners suggest that concert-goers use alternate freeway exits, right-hand turns into parking lots and buses.
Caltrans recommends that motorists driving southbound on the Harbor Freeway exit at either Exposition Boulevard, Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard or Slauson Avenue and approach the Coliseum on Figueroa Street and Broadway.
Drivers heading north on the Harbor Freeway are advised to use the Gage Avenue and Slauson Avenue exits and King Boulevard.
And it is recommended that motorists driving eastbound on the Santa Monica Freeway get off at Vermont and Normandie avenues, instead of using the southbound Harbor Freeway.
The concert starts at 7:30 p.m.
