A schoolteacher was arrested after 19 charges of child molestation were filed against him by the San Diego County district attorney’s office.
John Patrick Busker, 27, of La Mesa, surrendered to Sheriff’s Detective Mary Stables in his attorney’s office Wednesday about 4:30 p.m., Detective Dana Gassaway said.
The charges stem from incidents that allegedly occurred at Chet F. Harritt Elementary School in Santee. In late November, nine girls, ages 8 through 11, complained that a “substitute teacher had touched them in areas that made them feel uncomfortable,” Sheriff’s Lt. Jerry Snow said.
Busker was released Thursday on a $75,000 bond. He is scheduled for arraignment Wednesday.
