MURDER AT THEATER: “The Mystery of Edwin Drood” is the summer production of the Rio Hondo College Theatre Department. Performances are at 8 p.m. today through Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday in Wray Theatre at Rio Hondo College near Whittier. More performances are scheduled the following weekend, ending Aug. 5.
PRESENTATION BALL: The governor’s wife, Gloria Deukmejian, will present seven young ladies at the Assistance League of Long Beach’s 31st annual Presentation Ball, the league’s major fund-raiser, at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Long Beach.
